CANNABIS use turns teenager into thief Posted: Fri Dec 22, 2006 11:00 am |

PAGE A11 NZ HERALD, 22/12/06
"SURF HERO TURNS ARMED ROBBER"
Sub-title - "Father blames cannabis use for turning teenager into pistol-wielding thief"
Everyone who owns a business or a shop in nz, you better start upgrading your security now! As it seems everyone who smokes a bit of cannabis turns into a 'pistol-wielding thief'. I mean it seems pretty obvious cannabis was the ONE AND ONLY reason why this 16 year old turned from a surf lifesaver into a armed robber.
Not to mention it apparently 'sucks the life' out of you as stated in this article.
A great read, i recommend this to everyone if you wants to have a bit of a chuckle. You have to think why they let this sort of stuff be published in the main section of our main paper though... |

Hmm, maybe the father should look at his own shitty parenting instead? Perhaps it's more of a factor than the drug marijuana. It's putting the cart before the horse in this situation - no matter what a 16 year old is abusing in his spare time, the outcome here would have been the same. If he had been abusing alcohol I wonder if the father would have said the same thing? "Alcohol sucks the life out of you"?
Oh and hey, guess what? Lots of us have smoked pot at 16 years old and NOT turned into a thief. To me, when I smoke pot it makes me realise further that stealing something from someone else is wrong. Don't blame marijuana for your son's shitty morals and lack of logical thinking.
If pot really did what was described in the "article", the robbery rate would be much higher. End of story. _________________ "There are no good and bad drugs, only good and bad relationships with drugs" |

Why don't we see "alcohol use turns teen into drunken moron" more often as a headline?
God knows how often it happens compared to pot use. |
