Yeah that is pretty sad. Another reason why marijuana should be legal, to stop shitty little ass-fuck businesses such as this one.

Thing is, there are many herbal highs that do work well, these guys give the rest a bad name. There are hundreds of plants that can be smoked for a nice high, salvia, kratom, opium, fly agaric mushrooms, passion flower, dmt, syrian rue etc.
These idiots could have at least glued some decent herbs together to make their fake buds, laced them with some decent extracts etc. Instead they are ripping off kids who would be far healthier smoking real weed and giving genuine vendors a bad name.

Send the product back and demand a full refund. Let us know what happens. No doubt they will weasel out of it.

Anytime you see something advertised without any description, or any information on what the product is it's got to be suspicious.

"Hybrid Buds" spliced together from different herbs? How does one splice herbs together to make a hybrid. It's impossible.

PostThankyou for posting this all up ---    Posted: Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:53 pm Reply with quote

Seriously, I would not buy blind myself that's for sure ...
and that's how i ended up here --- yep, i THOUGHT TO MYSELF IT'S too good to be true and my buddy says to me, " what makes it legal ? "...and... "does it get you high ?"..... so I put into the search engine -- "international oddities scam" and looky here what i see ?

So, now, i see some people here totally pissed off and ripped off ---- and --- it would seem that you arte right in what you say....PT Barnum used to say , "There's a sucker born every minute" and in a world of billions you only need a few desperate enough to give em a shot to succeed, SOME OF HAVE ALL BEEN THERE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER ----

Now, we should be able to get "high times" to drop the add.... and we WILL too....but, really, what we need to do is SHUT INTERNATIONAL ODDITIES DOWN DIRECTLY --- first question i have is....

1) WHO EXACTLY ARE "INTERNATIONAL ODDITIE'S" OFFICERS ?

2) WHERE ARE THEY BASED EXACTLY --- WHAT IS THEIR LEGAL JURISDICTION ?

3) WHAT EXACTLY, HMMMMMM, IS THEIR TOTAL YEARLY REVENUE......

4) HOW MUCH IN ADVERTISING MONEY DOES HIGH TIMES GET FROM THEM AND IS ANYONE CONNECTED TO HIGH TIMES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS? just curious ...

--------------

IS IT ON ?

PostINTERNATIONAL ODDITIES is full of    Posted: Wed Jun 29, 2005 4:48 pm Reply with quote

The majority of your posts are planted. That certainly undermines the credibility of your site but here we are to make a few points. The moderator of this site can call us if they wish to verify the validity of this post, because prior comments listed as us certainly are not us...and many other posts are easily recognizable as a direct competitor of ours.

You like to reference Cannabis Culture? a magazine article that posts products that are not from our company? Cannabis Culture lists photos that are not our products- An article 6 years old written right after we dropped our advertising contract due to their poor circulation? An article actually written about another company long since out of business? Free thinkers are dead. But International Oddities customers know the truth.

Heres the facts-There is a #2 mimic company out there who have purchased and resold our products since 2001. International Oddities cut them off due to repeatedly questionable internet marketing...(just like the fake postings on your site) You may have even recieved their spam...Then lo and behold up pops competitor postings posing as International Oddities customers. Even fake counterfeit International Oddities websites...and fake negative customer comments...alot of them showed up posted by this other company. A retaliation for being cut off?? What do you think. To date the only real official site is still internationaloddities.com. But some of your readers still don't think for themselves, so do they care to know the truth?

International Oddities and High Times? a thousand product samples were handed out at a widely publicized yearly High times event. A rating card was handed out to all at dinner and MORE ATTENDANTS OF THIS POPULAR EVENT SAID THEY ENJOYED INTERNATIONAL ODDITIES PRODUCTS than those who said they didn't like the products. Now thats a tough crowd to please!.

For over TWENTY YEARS we have worked to offer the most interesting legal smoking exerience in the world and to that end we succeeded long ago. The worst product we have ever sold over the last two decades is still better than the best product ever offered by another company out there.

But none of this is about facts anyway is it? its about a few competing companies trying to sway the positive reputation International Oddities has earned from its dedicated customers over the last 20 years. How else does the original Legal smoke company outlive all its upstart competitors anyway? Repeat sales and quality....but you are almost right....nearly everthing ELSE out there is a scam.

In fact its a past dedicated customer who alerted us to this "discussion" anyway. To each his/her own. And to our thousands of supportive stores and customers across the U.S. we say "Thanks for your support"

Best Regards, International Oddities Inc.

PostSTRAIGHT TALK ---    Posted: Thu Jun 30, 2005 2:00 am Reply with quote

Dear International Oddities,

The first thing that i want to say is that I am not a "fake" poster here --- nor am I one of your competitors hiding under the banner on annonymity --- my real name is Jim, just as you see in the header to this post..... so, let us start this conversation for real....

Secondly, I would have to say that, if what you are posting is earnest, in all good sooth, then, I must believe that you have made a sincere effort to contact those here that HAVE expressed extreme disappointment, allegedly, with your company, international oddities, and have posted so here ....
I personally would feel a bit better about it all myself, if I saw earlier posters herein reply that you have made an effort to resolve their dissatisfaction.

Am I to have it, that you claim those here whom feel that they have been "gipped", so to speak, for lack of a better word, have been ripped-off by a thrid party vendor of your product and/or an unscrupulous competitor ? Do the unsatisfied people here "know" where and to whom their money went to ? We can eaily be assured of whom is involved if they made payment through a credit card company or personal check - hopefully - to be fair...

Now, as I am rather strong in the sciences, I do have a curiosity as to what exactly is in the "product" that you are presenting to us, the consumers. What was it said somewhere here ? Buyer beware ? My question is this, given that there really are some legal monocots/dicots and fungi which are known to be psycho-active, tell us why what you use is chemically functional please.

My study of genetically changed plants has made me wonder of late as well why noone has simply "modified" Canabis sativa --- a tall dioecious plant --- so that it's genetic fingerprint and hence it's legal status may be modified --- in any event, there has got to be many plants however which exist that are legally consumable and pharmocologically effective.

Last question, and, i think it is a fair one, is anyone at "high times" associated with Internation oddities financially (in any financially gainful way personally) ?

Let's talk ....

Jim

A few things internationaloddities says and does. 1. Say there are things besides herbs or drugs in their catelogue. This isn't true, it's only more buds. 2. Say there is a 25% restocking fee. Where is that on the website? 3. No department for complaints. Their product is terrible and made me sick, yet there was no one I could call to and complain and ask for a return. It'd be hilarious to read an post from internationaloddities calling this a fake post because I've e-mailed them several times with complaints and they ignore those in the same manner. I think something needs to be done to this company.
