Whoopsee Yes she did say 6 liters a 'second'. Seems I did have a Janette moment.
I really do 'like' the Greens, but not so many of their policies. 'Guidelines' are always good - but 'compulsory' limits on how much water you can use in your shower?
I read an article yesterday in one of the main rags bassically attacking Nandoor. Worse, attacking his religeon.
Nandoor was always a good example of a good human being when he was in parliament. Tis a shame he felt the need to leave. Maybe he'll get back with the Greens at the next election or even put some real ammo into ALCP.
It's too late this time round, but if ALCP do not reach the 5% threshold this election, I hope that the party is at least open to the idea of embracing and developing other policies other than just cannabis law reform for the next election. Especially since the Greens have abandoned so many of their supporters in that regard - there is a real 'gap' amongst all the other parties in terms of representation, and ALCP could certainly go a long way to bridgeing that. And while that may seem to detract from the number one priority of cannabis law reform, in actual fact playing the political game is a much better way to achieve success. Cause it's not necessarily so important how you get there as much as that you are there at all. |

In my politician stalking today I ran into some of the old VALUES party team up here in Auckland.
A hypothetical resurrection was the talking point over coffee .

An interesting concept, you have to be of a certain age to remember the
Values party.Surely a new Values party would only grow from disaffected
Labour and Green party people and are there enought of them to form a party?
Hypothetical political concepts are interesting but four weeks or so out from an election perhaps the focus should be on raising awareness of people to the choice of voting for ALCP.
Three years of John Keyes tory government, I can put up with that to see the end of a government that imprisons persons for a crime without
a victim.
Helen Clarkes feigned compassion when a morbidly obese person with a "do not resusitate" notice dies after her power is disconnected was just political grandstanding.
The bitch made no comment when Neville Yates was sent to prison or when Mr. Cleary died in prison for a victimless crime. Ms Clarke has run out of credibility, time for a change. |

Helen did have a thought on Mr Yates , it was he should watch the company he keeps.
But NOT one Member of Parliament responded to a question asking them if they were aware of Mr Cleary's fate and why..
Followed up by a further letter expressing my personal fear of consequence if I to was incarceration for possessing and using cannabis as a significant part of my medical regime. Some I even enclosed medical reports to substantiate my concerns. At least a few did respond with a form letter advising receipt , but none addressed the issue.. NONE ...
BUT wait until after the election .. I am going to write to a new MP , insisting he brings this type of thing to the attention of Parliament and the public at large .. Better hope Steven Wilkinson let me down as well..

That's evidence of Helen being astute. It could be said Neville is a rough diamond.
Today at Otago university we saw Helen give a comprehensive answer on the issue of cannabis (- video of her answer will be up on utube soon). Anyone who thinks John Key and National are more likely to advance cannabis law reform has got rocks in his or her head.

| Helen and the Greens have had nine years, all they do is build more prisons. Time to register a protest and vote ALCP. |
