From memory the notion of a two year moratorium was introduced at the Dunedin debates. This is a worthwhile objective for cannabis offences from a personal grow down to simple possession for citizens over the age of eighteen. The police should apprehend any person under the age of eighteen with possession, confiscate and question their supply and refer repeat offenders to an appropiate authority that will not result in a criminal conviction. The supply of cannabis to persons under the age of eighteen should remain excluded from the moratorium as would growing and trading in commercial quantities as these are magnets for criminals
due to prohibition.
If the cannabus is able to do another tour then I will be up for donating
five hundred bucks for the fuel tank. |

| Cannabus is in need of repairs. Perhaps Dakta Green should be posting a decent updates on the forums here. Next time I see him i'll remind him. |

hello everyone.
We're back. It has taken some weeks to return to some semblance of normality in my life. Maryjane has been laid up awaiting repairs but I will report more on that in a few days when the last estimates are in.
In the meantime I have posted two different 'snippits' from the trip. Take a look and we will talk about them some more.
If you think NZ Police can do no wrong.... do NOT watch this movie. The police provoked a confrontation in Palmerston North on Good Friday, March 21 2008. They raided our protest with the intention of arresting 2 people for smoking cannabis. 2 people out of approximately 200. Why did they do this? The outcome was fairly predictable. This film clip taken by a member of the public shows the 4th person to be arrested.

By contrast I have posted a delightful clip recorded in Sumner Beach on Sunday April 20. Yes that was 4.20 day. And we met a wonderful family with an Albert Park connection. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, the music was humming and the weed was buzzing. On 4/20 we held a 4. 20 protest at 4.20 as part of our 42 town 42 day 42 public smoking sessions at 4.20 pm protests. And the history of Albert Park takes on a new slant....

thanks for your support - more news soon...

At last, 8 minutes to load up this page and get a quarter of a video, man im getting shitty.
Cant wait to sort out my wireliess connection but need funds etc to pull that off first.
Ok heres my opinion:
Starting with the start the title is "police brutality".
So straight off the mark, I'm expecting split skulls and batons maybe a god chewing on some wheelchair bound man's leg or something while he is trying to smoke a joint.
But no, the first thing I see is some kid being wrestled to the ground by 3 cops who are pouring the heat on cuz he wont just be arrested, oh no, he's gunna fight for it.
Then the thing im hearing is heaps of yelling, im no sure what they are saying Im sure a few are hurling abuse at the pigs or it might be the fella whose arm they are half-breaking.
Then, I couldnt be pissed with that, I'd just be like "yeah ok wheres the car lets spend the next 2 years pissing about with the courts over a joint".
What I dont understand is why wasnt the start filmed?
The viewer has NO IDEA what caused this whole problem to be start?
Now 5 minutes later Im up to some bloke whos sticking a camera in their "personal space" and.......wait......for......it......now they decide to get him up.....im still wondering why it took 3 cops to get this fool handcuffed?
What really happened here?
Oh my goodness, this is so slow, im on non existent dial up.
nah it wont go. Im pissing off, never gunna sit here to watch some dick get handcuffed when Ive no idea whats going on to start with.
Good luck defending that charge, let me guess what is it? "resisting police"?
Everywhere i've been smoking pot with others, Ive never seen serious confrontation, so even if the cops provoked it, why didnt the guy just cooperate? Like violent resisting is going to help?
Palmerston North, that shithole? Who wants to get wrestled by 3 Palmy Pigs?
Screw that hole in the ground, just get arrested, get out and leave that place forever.
Puffing.
