Could we not consider an educational thread >18 could ask questions ( not how to hook up or grow info ) .
I fully support presenting an R18 front as per NORML policy , the anti's will be putting us under a microscope , and the less ammunition we give them to use against us the better .
I know this attitude does not sit well with many , but how about just accepting it as a sacrifice of your principle's for the greater cause ..
Our aim is not to protect free speech or change the mindset of the community in general the >18 yr olds should be able to do as they wish , whenever they wish.
Our focus is to give cannabis respectability , being seen to be supportive of R18 is counterproductive .
You can help or hinder..

How so? By trying to uphold a simple age restriction?
Yeah, that's really hindering progress.. |

I was not actually suggesting MNG was hindering ..I know it did sound a bit that way but
He is doing his job,, and I am not a supporter of U18 use , but the reality is it happens..
I was just opening up a discussion round having a thread known u18's could discuss stuff other than hookups or growing .
Maybe not a good idea .

Hmmm one of the old trouble makers back for another dig....
School holidays and getting a little bored so you want to come here and have a stir huh.
If you had been here of late, you would have seen I have accepted constructive criticism and adjusted the way I moderate these forum.
As you see, I am capable of change, obviously you aren't. _________________ A pain free day the marijuana way.

MNG
my comment about help or hinder was directed at the u18 ,
by pushing the point regards the fairness of letting u18 participate on a very public and well read forum could do more harm than good.
They can do more for the movement by respecting this and make the sacrifice .

What u18 do you know that will follow rules? The only way to ensure this is only used by over 18 year olds is by way of credit card, and I doubt that will happen...
Too many times I have seen u18 yr olds come here to discuss what they have been up to at school, then their very next post is trying to score a hookup...
They don't care about the reputation of this site, and they couldn't give a rats arse about whats happening to their developing brains, all they want to do is get fucked up.
At the very least we are covering our butts by providing a disclaimer that we don't like the activities of u18 on this site, its all we can do! _________________ A pain free day the marijuana way.

I know of a few, problem being if you knew who they were you'd likely delete all of their posts, one-by-one, and every time they made one.

Change the way the hook-ups forum works... Is it really that sensible to have it completely public anyway? I agree with you totally that under-18s shouldn't be asking for hook-ups but to ban them from furthering their understanding of cannabis and the issues that surround it.. Well, I'm sorry, but that's just totally unreasonable.

Most of them don't care.. You're right. But is banning them from posting on a forum which is designed to help with regards to cannabis going to help encourage them to care? Probably not. And not every under-18-year-old thinks that way, they're not all as stupid as you might believe.

That's more a notice of prohibition than it is a disclaimer.
Remember one of the points this organisation wants to enforce? That prohibition doesn't work? |

We've had this discussion before, as MNG said.
We can't stop U18s posting, but can still do quality control if required.
I really enjoy reading well thought out posts from younger people. Its very reassuring to see that they haven't yet been entirely brainwashed / dumbed down, and turned into their parents . . . |

And deleting all of my 250+ posts was quality control, was it?

Oh, not this shit again.
You manage to prove time and time again that you are far less mature than several of the "kids" you so tirelessly complain about.
Drefetr is, infact, over eighteen. I will be eighteen in less than three weeks. Will this suddenly change my opinions? No.
Will it change people's reaction to my opinions? Probably not.
Meh, I can't be fucked with this at the moment.
Saw you out by the Union Lawn just before though. _________________ When the truth is found.

Hey Rowan welcome to the age of legality and culpability
I hope you have got yourself enrolled This is the year that you can finally make a statement. All that pent up frustration of the system ignoring you, only seeing you to accuse you as the cause of societies ills "It's those boy racers" "It's them kids in hoodies"
Welcome
