What if to help change peoples perceptions of pot smokers would be to organise a weekend or even just one day clean up of a beach or reserve something that gives back to the community have banners and flags up showing who we are and what we are doing??? especially in auckland there is a lot of rubbish in our parks, help remove graffiti or something. This i think would change the perception a lot of people have about stoners being lazy and unmotivated also "the not giving back to the community bit". If people were keen i could help set this up once i find out from my boss my work hours as they havnt been set in stone. ideas???

That is a thoughtful idea- It may go to show people that a lot of stoners are peaceful, thoughtful, creative people that use the herb to get into that mindset even further and not just to sit around and numb out. I am a "pothead" and I am never involved in anything troublesome (crime, violence, traffic violations etc..) but I worry that if I reveal this to people, they till think I get up to no good. It's F**ked. I am in Marlborough though- not a lot of Norml activity here. My only form of protest is smoking a joint at the public riverbank. I could go there myself and clean up the riverbank by myself....Then I would look cool. ha....

Cool Idea though (your one).

there is an idea floating around, to clean up the wetland area surrounding the daktory...its a tidal marsh and attracts all types of rubbish, every time the tide goes out and back in, theres more rubbish. a working bee to clean up this area, not just for the daktory's sake, but also for the neighbouring business's. Dakta Green can give details for those interested.
