I couldn't help but wonder why anderton couldn't take the same stance with cannabis. Lets face it, we all recognize that cannabis is more out there than the bee mite and is as impossible if not more so to control...

So, we now know that there are shitloads of kids out there that are living in an environment that contain some form of drug culture. Whats happening to these kids? are they being handed over to cyps or being given good (keeping yourself safe) drug education or being programmed to dob in their parents?

I'll leave it here Hometoad, thanks.
the first one: Amazing it only took him a couple of years to give up the fight . . obviously bees and their relatives don't have lobbyists or vote

A fatalistic assessment from the Government to the latest developments in the spread of the Varroa bee mite.
As of today all movement controls associated with the apiary pest are to be revoked. It follows the discovery of the Varroa mite in 17 different beekeeping operations in Canterbury. Agriculture Minister Jim Anderton says the move to management, rather than elimination, was inevitable. He says Varroa has spread too far, meaning any thoughts of eradication are not feasible.
the second one: Hmm, this one leads with methamphetamine, the other reports posted in the busted forum don't. But they're all certainly upping the fear factor talking about kids.

Wellington police are alarmed at the number of children being raised by or around drug users.
73 people have been arrested on serious drugs charges following a three month investigation. They face a raft of charges relating to manufacturing, distributing and using Class A and B drugs. Methamphetamine, cannabis, ecstasy and LSD have been found at a number of residential properties around the region. Police are after another 14 people, who they suspect will face similar charges.
Detective Senior Sergeant Darrin Thomson says they found half a dozen kids aged between three and 14 years living at the properties they raided. He says they are working with the relevant government agencies to ensure they are taken care of.

its interesting you should say that, cause bee keepers and agricultural people who rely on the bee for a living do. And let us not forget that election time isn't all that far away.
And I see that methamphetamine was closely followed by cannabis.
Cannabis is a C class drug isn't it? I see that there was no mention of class C mentioned in the article, just A and B which again makes cannabis look worse than it is in the minds of the great uneducated...
That leaflet I'm now working on for ALCP should go into every letterbox . . . I don't know how entirely accurate tony's post is, but it sure makes you think.
Its what I can't post Paula , the BAT interlinking is a minor incident and I would expect for the most part in the public domain.
I think some of the more concerning might become apparent shortly.
Back in 2003 when I in my innocents started along the path of lobbing for medpot I approached some of the contacts I had made over the years when I was politically active.
I was astounded at some of the advise I was given, most was to forget it..
It was pointed out that the pro cannabis issue was known within the system to be a taboo topic , even medpot.
It was in political terms a very minor and insignificant factor.. it was not something people had strong feelings on and could be ignored or swept aside with ease.
But
it was a significant aspect for many of the vested interests that had good commercial cause to be concerned ..
These commercial entities were responsible for the feathering of a wide variety of nests , political donations, cooperate boxes at games, holiday homes, super yachts ,medical and social research grants, brown paper bags and a host of paid paid advocates ..It is said even the advertising potential is able to influence the media.
I was told fighting for CLR in NZ was going to be akin to pushing shit up hill with a sharp stick..
I did not believe a minor and insignificant thing such as CLR could exercise such influence on our politics and Govt organisations.
