Nasty looking Yellow plant:

So I germinated and grew some seedlings a few weeks ago and had them in a makeshift greenhouse outside all was going well till the bad weather a few days ago, one of my fastenings came lose and my cover blew off and my lil babys got soaked and torn up.......
So I went on a little rescue mission and fabricated my own lighting fixture and moved the servivers into my closet, there doing much better now with only a day under 24/7 light and a soil change.
I'll put some pic up later on.
Thumbnail links:
There looking alot better now, even the ones with severed leaves are getting there color back
UPDATE: Things are growing fine, even found a supprise plant and a seedling in the composte heap where I dumped my germination soil.
Two supprises that I moved inside.
Closeup plants doing fine.

| I'm a bit ammazed, My seedlings have only been under lights for 3 days know and there showing more growth than they did in a whole week outside. This may be the begining of me trying to indoor grom right up to harvest, tho not of 15 plants I'll probebly keep 2 inside and gorilla grow the rest outside. |

fluro bulbs are great for vegging but I suggest spending some coin on say that special currently going at Switched on Gardener for the 1m X 1m tent with 600W bulb, ventilation system with carbon filter. You will need to sort a room for this, otherwise wait awhile for the weather to settle down and warm up and put those girls back outside _________________ A pain free day the marijuana way.

Sadly I'm not realy in a position to buy any supplies, I made the fluro rig out of things I had lying around, I've been reading up on CFL lights and small aera grows and it seems what I have now is just enough for two plants, all I realy have to get is an electric timer for when I want to 12/12 for flowering, after repotting the two I chouse to keep indoors I'm going to try low stress training them, cause it seems to be a nice way to maximise yeald in small spaces.
On a lighter note, was walking around the garden and looking under a tree where my grass clippings are dumped *and where i dumped the soil I used to gerinate my seedlings* I found a nice supprise of a healthy looking little plant and a maybe few day old seedling that just sprouted, they have been promptly moved to the closet
Two supprises that I moved inside.

Hey Souless,
good for you...you scrumpy drinking toker....as MrNiceGuyNZ
suggests though do not expect much from your fluro set up. You mention that you can not afford to get a HPS or MH light ...well so be it just do not expect to get more then 5 grams/plant ....from your current set up...
If your happy with this then so be it.... but the thing that you have to remember brother is that the filth do not give a FUCK about your small time fluoro set up...you'll get the same sentence as any one else.....As far as i am concerned you might ae well do it properly with HID lights

Thanks for the honesty , I'm not to worried about growing under lights cause most these plants are going outside, they already have individual *improvized* greenhouses set up and they'll be going in them next week. I'm keeping two just to try under lights cause I just like to have somthing there to look at and dote over |

| Looks like a magnesium or manganese deficiency, maybe your pH is out which will effect absorption, or you are missing these elements in you fert regime. |

well your own mix may or may not already have all the nutes necessary, so adding more fert may or may not help......
if the pH is too high or too low the fert you do have in you mix may not be available to your plants.
If you can measure the pH and add lime or lemon juice or something accordingly, this may help.
Without knowing what the exact problem is, simply adding more fert might just give them the burn.
Sorry I can't be more precise.

ah well since then my post the yellowing didnt get any worse or apere in any other plants, I've since done my first pruning and got rid of the yellow leaves ( thats a proper pruning, not just for the sake of it) plants are all doing fine and are ready for a repott this week as well.

I think that might be being a bit harsh on the poor guy - i actually think hes trying to help you out by offering a very reasonable price for something that you may or may not use
dont forget this site is here to help people - so if you are not interested in the item the gentleman is offering then respectfully decline instead of making him feel like an egg - which he definately is not........thank you |

Yeah I agree with torerestylez, that is a really good offer for the 400w and you just burnt him. Offering to sell someone, who said they don't have enough money for a growlight, a cheap growlight is not tactless. In fact, it's probably more in the line of a relevant and useful offer which it's highly likely someone will take him up on..
May as well not bother wasting time with your indoor plants tho, the yield you will get is next to nothing and if you get busted having indoor plants always seems to be worse than outdoor plants for some reason.. |
