Nah guys i tried it and it works!
You just need to take at least 8 large cones, hold them for 30 seconds each and do them using a bong and a jet torch lighter.

Takes almost an hour to kick in but you'll trip flat on the ground!

Musa Sapientum bananadine

I was not aware that some chemicals were named after the plant they are found in... Perhaps you can only extract this exotic chemical from the sapientum species of Musa? How interesting indeed... I'm used to chemicals at least indicating their components. Although a "dine" was thrown on the end of 'banana' - nice effort lol.

This is from a book called Recreational Drugs that was published in 1977.

BANANA SKINS
Common name: Mellow yellow

Mellow yellow is simply the dried scrapings taken from the inside of fried banana skins.
Ever since it was first introduced in the late 1960s (when druggies would try anything), some people have claimed that, when smoked alone or mixed with tobacco, mellow yellow will bring on the same kind of high as marijuana.
Analysis shows that mellow yellow has no psychoactive ingredient. While some experts contend that smoking of banana will convert some of its chemistry into a DMT-like substance, the reality is that as many as four mellow yellow joints will produce little more than a slight buzz, and that's probably more a result of hyperventilation than the banana itself.
Any high experienced from this one will be virtually imaginary. Mellow yellow won't do much at all except waste good bananas.

Early April I attended a situation , some kids stoned out of their tree , half a dozen , about 12 to 14 yrs old . Boy were they high , , none could stand , slurred words and in fantasy land. The care givers who called me in were frantic , on the point of calling an ambulance.. I managed to get enough out of one to find what they had been sniffing to get them so high..
I bust into laughter , and six kids sobered up real quick when I explained that sniffing your own shit was an april fools joke and did nothing other than smell real bad.

I have threatened them that if I ever here they touch drugs before they are 18 I will tell all their friends about it..

so be careful.. and be real sure you want to play with some of this other stuff. I have been round long enough to have seen the long term effects and had mates come off second best more often than I care.

Stick with cannabis ..

The only legal high I like is fresh root nutmeg, but thats not for everyone cause it can be a haunting/paranoied trip if your not used to it and dont know what to exspect to begin with.

Isn't it illegal to do that in the same manner it is to get high from San Pedro cacti?

Whats the buzz like btw? I'm keen to try it myself but no one I know bothers to do it when they can get decent illegal alternatives so I'm not sure whether to bother
