Very close call at school LOL Posted: Sat Mar 01, 2008 12:28 pm
you know how it is each morning at school.. no1 at all wants to be ther, you would rather be in bed! well it was just like that for me. i had no buds left (smoked them all the night befor) so i cudnt have a few spots b4 school.
well the 1st two periods went by then it was Intervil!
this is when my day got interesting, i walked down between the libary and sum classrooms with some mates to a table we normaly sit at. we wer chattin away as normal then another one of my mates walk down and asks if we gna get a score off him. so we got a few foils and he shouted us a few buds (mates rates, always the best )
i grabed my bong out of my bag (always have 1 for school, just a nice small one) and started blazing up, was great until after a few bongs each...... i had just paked my bong and sparked up, i look up to see the school Libaryian standing at the window (puttin books on the shelfs) and she had spotted me.. we stared at each other for about 10 secounds then she turned around and walked off..
i finished my bong and my mate had one more. put it bak in my bag, droped in a few 'clear eyes' and continued as normal..
nothing at all was said and no other teachers knew.
i was seen but let off.
the day was very good after that, school is always best stoned
Dude school feels better when you're stoned but it is NOT better for your education. I'm going to sound like a parent but you must understand that its people like yourself that create some of the negative aspects associated with cannabis, we all want weed decriminalized but its never going to happen if people like yourself rock up to school stoned...Teachers complain then parents ect...All these people are voters and if they see these negatives then they sure as hell are not going to vote yes to decriminalization.
You're still young, let your body/mind develop fully then experiment with weed..
If you do have to smoke it try not to do it in school hours..think about the future of the drug, how good would it be to buy the best shit available legally?
Wow, I smoked a bit when I was that age, but fucked if I could ever face going to school stoned, or sparking up there. You have some big balls. Balls that will probably get you kicked out of school, but it doesn't sound as if you care overly.
I wouldn't assume the librarian told noone. There's a good chance your school guidance counselor will pop by for a "friendly chat" in the next few schooldays. That's probably the best case scenario. Unless your librarian enjoys a toke of his/her own.

iv been smoking at school or well mostly before school, for quite awile.
iv never had any problems at all with it.
drop in the clear eyes, have a lil spray down and head to class.
i dont do like the other storys you hear bout, like sparkin up in class etc, its always my lil spots wer teachers dont normaly go etc.
i find that weed may effect my school work a little bit by slowing me down a tad but i still get top results, my education stadards havnt droped at all. if they did i would stop as i want to acheive my goal and follow the career in architecture.
im now in year 12, and in top clases and passing each subject i take with high grades, and following a good career and planning on finishing school and heading off to uni.
i do agree, i want weed to have a good name and not a negitive name and i want it to become legal as its not as bad as people make it out to be.
well nothing at all has been said to me about anything so all is good.
all is swell

Shit, something needs to be done in schools if you are in the top class and heading to uni without being able to spell! _________________ A pain free day the marijuana way.
People with a well functioning level of literacy like yours and mine are pretty few and far between in 6th form classes. Even in 7th form, a lot of people can't spell or use capital letters properly, but are expecting to go to university for some course or another. I should know, I was 7th form last year and watching people take notes/write essays was atrocious for the most part. It's just the way it is.
School, at least the school I went to, sent the message that it's okay to do the bare minimum amount of work, scrape through with UE because your teachers let you resit things 8 times and then go off to uni for a double degree in law and commerce. I suspect it's more a byproduct of NCEA and the ridiculously low achievement criteria, though, not so much the fault of the school.

Back when I was that age we had School cert where you had one shot to pass a years work, 8 times fuck its too damned easy these days.
I also hear 8 year olds are allowed to use calculators, I wasn't allowed one till I got to 4th form ( in the 3rd form we used charts to work out Pythagoras). It's no wonder the schools produce such delinquent children, they haven't got the basic fundamentals sorted out. _________________ A pain free day the marijuana way.
I have been reading some of the archival stuff from the cannabis issues of the 60's and 70's .
I note a lot of the commentators of the day were observing that the majority of our Uni student were stoned more often than not and we were going to end up with our future leaders stuffed up by cannabis . Kids were getting UE and ending up at Uni not able to read or spell . Male teachers were no longer wearing suits or cutting hair.. but Jeans .. and long hair .. The three R's were getting forgotten .. Reading ,Riting and rithmatic .
Not much really changes .. some kids want to learn or more to the point want the rewards of education and go out and get it.. And then there is those who will regret for the rest of their lives but only too late its importance.
I am darn sure if we did not have such strict parameters when I was at school , corporal punishment and all that , School Cert and UE as standards I would not have bothered...
I sort of had to relearn to spell and the like some 14 yrs ago , this time round I could be slack.. and it makes little difference. Spelling is no longer considered important .
Its a shame but guess its progress other priorities such as being IT savvy seem to take precedence.

hahaha yes well i am very useless at spelling.
but its true NCEA is REALY easy to pass and correct spelling is not important at all haha, im USELES at it and pass like evrything.
i cant spell a thing realy, i just guess.
(not because im stoned i just always have been useles at spellin since i was young)
and i think that on the internet on fourms, msn, pm's etc spelling isn't realy important.

What you write on the internet is how you represent yourself.
If you want to be taken seriously from the likes of politicians, it pays to watch your spelling, punctuation and grammar. _________________ A pain free day the marijuana way.
I think you're a prime example of what the goverment is churning out of the schools As long as you can pass it's all good, but you will find it very hard when you goto uni....probably why there is so many dropouts!
Amen. School doesn't prepare students for university at all, in my opinion. Sorry, students, no resits on your exams.
I did fairly well at my school, and university is still a huge adjustment. I can't imagine being thrust in with any less a degree of literacy. There's just too much reading comprehension to be done.
Not that I'm complaining that a large number of students lack essential skills... I have a big field to work my way through to get into 2nd year law =/
