Look at what they have done for the boxing day tsunami, they have provided millions of dollars and launched a massive aid effort. They are trying to also reform the ways of Iraq, not steal their oil.

This is a naive analysis. Terrorist's usually have very substantial reasons for what they are doing - for example, resource disputes (land, minerals, oil etc), recognition of their culture, language, revenge for past and current actions of the people they consider their enemy, and so on. The desire to have an SUV or laser screen is more likely to be motivating a countries own citizens to be criminals than it is terrorists.

There was no reason for america to go into Afganastan, only one 9/11 puppet came from there, the rest from saudi (Bushes friends)
There is not much change in Afganastan since usa arived and then secretly left to take the troops to Iraq.

The problem is that most of the ignorant people in this country don't want to read anything that's going to make them have to think for themselves. Thats what mainstream media caters for, those who don't think.
People don't want to hear about the real issues, they would prefer to hear about rape, murder, molestation, burglary, theft, the more sordid, the more these people tune in. That's why mainsteam media don't cover important issues such as the benefits of hemp. The huge number of jobs it would create for NZ people, the independance from fossil fuels, the reduction in our trade deficit, the superior environmentally friendly products from hemp, an overall happier, more healthier nation of people, a massive reduction in air pollution, environmentally friendly fuels, superior oils, a reduction in synthetic polluting materials, more forrests wouldn't need to be cut down thus maintaining our air quality, less polluting paper production processes, 4 times softer fabric, and most importantly, MORE POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
But NO, they would rather print mindless dribble that means nothing at the end of the day.
Politicians are a bit like the mainsteam media, always talking about bullshit and avoiding the real important issues that could make a really positive improvement for all Kiwis.
So in a way you can't really blame mainstream media for producing so much mindless dribble, they are only catering to the market.
The most important question when it comes to legalising pot is how to we reduce our populations ignorance, how do we get our people once again thinking for themselves?
If we were to make a reduction in our populations ignorance, we make it a lot more difficult for that ignorance to be manipulated by those out to make a quick buck at our expense.
