Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and cheer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song in here
(the cannabus of course)
(with apologies to Nat King Cole)

THE SUMMER PROGRAM HAS COMMENCED.
The cannabus has a new National Bus Tour coordinator, a coat of polish and a plan. Maryjane (the cannabus) took a group to Piha beach for the last test run prior to commencing the summer program. see it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90vCod2Lu1s

Immediate plans
For the foreseeable future, Maryjane will continue making weekly appearances at the Albert Park 420 protest on Fridays.
There are also plans to take the 420 protest to other areas on different days. The first of these will be - West Auckland - HENDERSON
This Saturday 1 December, Maryjane will take the 420 protest out to the western suburbs. You can join us on board for the ride from the city. Pick up from Hemp Store at 2 pm.
Or
You can meet us in Henderson.

Our planned location in Henderson is a closely guarded secret because we're not sure where we're going to be yet. BUT we will post here on Saturday morning so you can hook up with us.

ON Saturday 8 December we are going to Hamilton lake. If you live in Hamilton or surrounding area come along after 4 pm to Hamilton lake, look for Maryjane, she's the big green 40 ft bus with Norml signs everywhere.
Departure time from the Hemp Store for Hamilton 420 will be advised as soon as the driver tells me how long it will take to get there. Stay tuned.

PLEASE NOTE
Norml members have priority for a seat on the bus.
If your membership has lapsed or you are yet to join - now is the time to remedy this. We need good teams of volunteers to tour with us.
Maryjane will be touring at every opportunity but we need volunteers to assist in maintaining her.
Sent me a pm if you can help.

Our first mobile 420 protest is on today in Henderson.

Maryjane will depart the city at 2pm from outside the Hemp Store and make passage to the west.
All members, old and new are welcome to join the cannabus for the ride out west or you can meet us in Henderson.

Our protest at 420 will be on Great North Rd between Henderson Valley Rd and Lincoln Rd, next to the railway track.
See you there. 420.

PostHENDERSON    Posted: Wed Dec 05, 2007 12:05 pm Reply with quote

Saturday 1 December, 2pm, Maryjane the Cannabus departed from the Hemp Store in Victoria Street Auckland and headed west. After weeks of primping, preening, polishing and dusting, Maryjane was ready to fulfill her destiny. With a bunch of daktavists aboard basking in the attention, waves and cheers from onlookers our first 'mobile' 420 protest of the summer season commenced.

The protest commenced with a slow drive through the main street of Henderson whilst our daktavists walked the walk through town handing out our latest Norml News and inviting locals to join us at 420.
Maryjane looked a treat parked alongside the main highway adorned with signs and banners.

If we were a political party we would be a shoo in for the next election if the toots, waves and cheers of support from passing motorists were any guide. Locals stopped by for a chat and a coffee and everybody had a great time. So much so we had to especially focus on the 'it's a protest not a party' theme.

At 5.20 we packed up and headed home satisfied our first official outing was a success with everyone looking forward to the next outing.

Hope everybody is having a wonderful day... seems perfect for a road trip!

Mary-Jane is very very beautiful. Congratulations on a job well done to all who worked on her. I can't donate funds right now but am working on a few projects that will go towards her upkeep once completed. Wanna see this lovely lady stay on the roads for a long time to come.

Again, Congratulations, and thanks to all the busy bees.

Roll up, roll up for the mystery tour.
Roll up, thats an invitation, roll up for the mystery tour.
Roll up, to make a reservation, roll up for the mystery tour.
The magical mystery tour is coming to take you away,
Coming to take you away.
The magical mystery tour is dying to take you away,
Dying to take you away, take you today.

thats playing now while I type.

bong on.

a clean bong, yesterday seen some build up.

a magnificent nine took the bus to Hempilton stopping for a breather in Hemply, the bus ran smooth and it was toot toot, waves all the way...no labour or national bus would get that much support.

did a run of the main street, past the cop shop and court house and then found a suitable bus stop to park up.

people approaching us as soon as the doors opened to chat and wander about town handing out some mags then commenced.

after drinks in the sunshine we went over to the lake and funnily enough the spot we chose to park up at already had two plants sitting in the sun, so the seven of us disembarked, signs went up the bong, shovel and cushions came out, it was 4:20 and the protest begin.

so very very sunny and hot we we're all baked.

roll up roll up.

people arrived and baked with us in the sun.

packed up and seven returned to auckland.

in conclusion a good day had by all. icon_wink.gif

Hey DAF,

The magnificent 9 went down ,

And had a majic day in Hamilton

and after a few roll ups ect returned home with a cannabus crew of 7 ..

Just worried a couple might still be sitting by the lake wondering where the bus is.

It pays to do a head count before you leave not when you get home .. especially if wiliams wonder or the white widow were guests .
Could save some people a long walk.

Synchronicity (and I dont mean the album by, funnily enough, the police)

Excellent about your adventure, but damn I've got lousy timing deciding to take an extented break atm.

Truck on, or should I say, bus on...

Tony, I think those remaining were two plants left behind to beautify the Hamilton lakes landscape.

Tis a wonderful thing did happen to the lakescape when maryjane did cast her magic on Hempilton.

It is true.
Two brave soldiers remained to continue the local struggle. Their main duties were firstly to ensure our safe departure (getaway?) and secondly and perhaps more importantly, to follow the activities of the undercover ducks hiding out on the lake. All those little duckers do is sit around eating the public bread like it's their right. I am sure I saw the same undercover ducks at Piha a few weeks ago. They are the same ones that tried to enter my home 18 months ago and without a warrant!!! - I have film - The little duckers are watching us....

Our gorilla soldiers will report back - you will be told the truth...
(note to self - relax - Aaarrrrhhh....)
(deep breath) (toke)
(cue music.... anything by the Police....)
sing
Maryjane..... I love you...

And I love bus daktivists.
You guys are V.I.P's, but is a police escort really necessary?

Seriously, with all the real crime, not to mention police corruption and incompetence to investigate, the time and resources being wasted on persecuting a few freedom and herb loving individuals should be a public outrage.

Props to the two heroes that did stay behind to flush out those duckers.
If only there was a ducker hunting season! icon_twisted.gif

Introduced my self to dakta_green and had my first look at the cannabus today.
We had a chat on the roadside, lots of toots of support and everyone was very friendly , even the CID who stopped by for a sociable interchange.
What a great mobile bill board ,but it could do with some organized funding ideas or sponsors

Get hold of dakta_green if you have any ideas..

PostWARKWORTH    Posted: Mon Dec 17, 2007 8:13 am Reply with quote

icon_eek.gif

Last friday 14 December, following the Albert Park 4.20 protest we loaded a barbecue aboard Maryjane and headed North.

After a quick shopping stop at Orewa we parked alongside State highway 1 at Hatfields Beach and cooked a feast.

It was a chance to farewell daf as he heads back south this week.

It was also another high profile place to park where we received huge support from people passing by. The toots, waves and shoutouts of support were amazing. Some even stopped and joined in. A wonderful night.

So much so we have arranged a last minute pre Christmas trip to Warkworth this Saturday.

Departing from the Hemp Store cannabus stop at noon we are meeting Warkworth locals outside the Warkworth District Court at 2.15.

SATURDAY 22 DECEMBER
2.15pm
Warkworth District Court

If you are organized for Christmas and have some time to join us -

COME ON DOWN!!!!!

It's great to hear the bus is out and about bringing the message to the people. Hopefully those driving by will be inspired to become active in CLR.

Is there a fund to donate money directly for the bus; diesl, maintenance etc. Maybe the bus will be able to make a trip to Parlaiment?
