Sleeping without pot??? Posted: Mon Dec 03, 2007 11:38 am |

Hi, I have been smoking heavy for the past 5years. Recently i have decided to cut down or stop, the only thing is if i dont smoke before i go to bed i will not be able to sleep. Even if i do fall asleep i wake up every 20 mins in hot sweats. Has anyone else experienced this and is there anyway around it or do i have to let it take its course.
Any help would be appreciated. |

I have had similar symptoms in the past and they were stress related(www- woman, work and wankers!!) . The fact I was using MJ hard out to alleviate the issues didnt help me sleep any better either.
I found that addressing the issues and making sure I was fatigued before I went to bed (go for a run or play a round of golf during the day), helped me.
Good luck, insomnia sucks. |

I've had that when I decided to stop completely, just drink alot of fluids and do alot of exercise during the day. It'll help get rid of the THC in your system faster and also make you tired.

Kava also helped with sleeping and anxiety issues.
Good luck _________________ I do believe in monsters, I call them officers |

I would suggest getting your dr to script you some 3 mg meletonin and take one maybe two about an hour before sleep. Also try some sublingual B12 .
It could be you may well need some whole thyroid as well. Do a basel morning temp test and check that aspect out.
Long term frequent cannabis use when stopped quickly can at times need a readjustment period until the brain chemicals readjust themselves , Nothing long term it seems.
