Why is it always assumed that under 18s can't use cannabis responsibly? Surely we all, as tokers, have shirked our responsibility to uphold the law, being under the legal drinking age has nothing to do with it.
The individual needs to make the choice as to whether using a drug is good bad or whatever, and even if it is the wrong choice you could do a lot worse than smoking ganja.
Some friends and I smoked during lunchtime at school, from about the age of 16 (15 in my case). Not every day, and not much was needed for the total effect, and once wasted I would still return to school with no difference in how I felt about the classes. In fact, I'd say smoking during school hours had a beneficial effect on my education (although this would have been different if I'd got caught), I wasn't as interested in setting things on fire or drinking vodka from a pump bottle. |

The answer is simple; but the situation is complicated.
Yes, under 18s can use it responsibly. If they use it responsibly, then there is nothing wrong with that.
Am I wrong to say that J day is primarily a public display of support for cannabis law reform? As we all know, the agenda next in parliament is the legalization and regulation of medicinal cannabis – and that is the priority. Smoking marijuana shows the public that it is safe and harmless – and that they’ll be no casualties and no rowdiness. Smoking is a good reason to be there. But that shouldn’t be the main reason.
Now the current public perception of drugs is that all drugs are harmful. To the minds of those who don’t know much about cannabis - it’s a drug, it’s a drug, it’s a drug. Legal drugs like alcohol, tobacco, BZP have age restrictions of 18. Marijuana is currently illegal, so why should they think it is suitable for under 18s? Note that it is their perception – not ours.
The question is who changes the law? Parliament… who can they be influenced by? The naïve public.

Its a few rotten eggs that spoil the bunch. The under 18s cause alot of trouble in many areas, thats why the age group has attained this stigma, perhaps. Its the same reason <18 shouldnt own performance cars etc, because they havent really had adequate situations/maturity to deal with a car out of control. Its a little different with dope tho, and i guess everyone is different, I for one cant study after a smoke.
For the politicians seeing us older guys smoking with younguns probably means we are recruiting them for ot evil pot gangs and brainwashing them, as teens are known to be impressional... |

| I really get irritated by this concept that an illegal drug automatically means they are dangerous, and you are risking your life by ingesting them. I've got this shit from so many people. Stupid christians trying to be insightful... Grr. |

Haha i laugh in the face of danger haha.
Seriouly though, I think less and less people are having that view. The 2 biggest anti dope people I knew are pro now because they have seen that it is possible to not be a psycho and discovered that the medicinal effects work. One smokes more than me these days and finds it helps greatly with her endoamendreosis. Actually i might try to get her to post about it in the medical section. |

yea i have to agree... my sis who is really conservative is convinced too. She's a biochemist...
it just goes to show. all society needs is awareness.

Now, Now, no need to stereotype or get particular.
I'm quite sure Cannabis is discriminated against by a wide range and diversity of people from around the world, not just a percentage of christians.
