OOOPs, you're right, it's broken.
Choosing an avatar was working before, but ever since I installed this new forum software (phpBB) it appears to have stopped working. I will have a look and see if I can fix it.
By the way I decided not to allow people to upload their own avatar image, however you should be able to choose one of our avatars from the gallery. If someone really reall wants to use their own image, email it to me and I will upload it for you.
NORML Pres Chris has promised that we will make some stoner avatars and emoticons that we can use instead of the default ones that we have at the moment.
In case anyone is wondering what we're going about...

Yay! Its fixed! You can now choose an avatar for your forum posts.
Click on Profile (in the menu above), and scroll down to the bottom to the Avatar Control Panel. Click on Show Gallery to view the avatars and select one.
There are now thousands available in categories like Simpsons, South Park, etc. Sorry, still no stoner ones yet!

as a special community bonus, to make up for the fact that anonymous posting is now banned due to all the spam, I have just enabled uploading of your own avatars - you can now upload your own avatar, so long as it is less than 80x80 pixels and less than 6KB. You be clicking the Profile link above to edit your profile, avatars are down the bottom. You can either upload from your own computer, upload from a web address, or choose an avatar from the gallery.

I don't know why we banned it before, it seems so harmless
If anyone can find me the furry freak brothers avatars then I be loading them into the gallery for sure. My favourite stoner comic must be Russell by Pete Loveday though!
Also, I have popped a few more avatar packs in there. There are some new big Simpsons and South Park ones, some WoW in the games gallery and some new trippy, grungy or swirley abstract ones.
