Should be a goodie...for those looking to chill out and camp for a few days and meet a lot of interesting people. Last year at this spot (Caanan Downs) there was a Canna-Bus...(not the NORML one) it looked like a classic oldschool yellow school bus and it drove around being constantly hotboxed by whoever wanted to hop on board.

We used to call Takaka Hill "Marble Mountain" because of the marbled rock thats up there ..
Going down the Takaka side there was a Legendary Pub called the "Rat trap" . It had t"THE RATTRAP" written in huge letters with white paint on the Roof and could be seen from way up on the hill . Wifey burnt the place down in revenge one day .. such is the stuff of legends eh ? |
