The Hookup forum is for MARIJUANA ONLY

High there, I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the Hookup Forum is intended for marijuana only. That means no powders, pills or other plants.

If you would like to discuss or hookup other substances, there are plenty of other places on the net to do it, such as:

http://tweak.org.nz/ - all drugs

We are usually *very* hands off with these forums but from now on we may delete posts that don't relate to marijuana, and members who keep posting about other substances may find their membership revoked.

That's because this site is about the Kiwi cannabis culture, for the Kiwi cannabis culture, and by the Kiwi cannabis culture. Nuff said.

But I am interested in your feedback and opinion on this. Please complete the poll above, post a reply or PM me.

Green please. There is enough association made between marijuana and harder drugs in the media already. I feel that weed gets dragged down in a big way by this. Talk about mushrooms and other naturally occuring goodies seems fine though. Would like to see talk about the harder stuff left to the dance websites, pillreports.com etc.

Green only I think. NORML should return to its pro-cannabis-legalisation roots, and not muddy the waters by becoming NZ's de facto All-Drugs forum.

Definately! Otherwise our naiive government will think this significant website is just for dealing drugs and sad people talking about how f****d up they get on other substances.

Keep New Zealand Green! (But I don't mind G.E. stuff, hehe. nor am I a Christian or vegetarian. *chuckle*)

Yeah, the local thing is a really nice bonus. I can completely understand - and from a non-selfish POV actually agree - with keeping this only for the weed, but it'd be nice if there was something reasonably active that covered other stuff. Oh well, them's the breaks of illegal activity. :)

Thanks for the feedback and the understanding. The NORML team have been very hands off with the forum to date, and to be honest some of the stuff that I've only just noticed has been pretty out there. So yes, the new policy will apply to other parts of the forum including the using section. I've already deleted a shitload of posts, so some people will find their post counts dropping, but it's not supposed to be a race! And kind of self-incriminating to admit it.

In terms of setting up a new forum for other drugs, it would have be a separate website. I see that www.drugtalk.co.nz is available, maybe that would be a good name for it (would cost $39.95 per year through freeparking). The software that runs this forum is open source, ie free. We could ask our kind hosts in Canada to provide some server space for it. Is anyone with computer know-how interested in setting anything up?
