Although opinion polls consistently show a majority supporting change, MPs receive more letters from prohibitionists than supporters of law reform. Prohibitionists have traditionally been good at writing to their MPs, while supporters of law reform have tended to remain inactive, either through apathy or paranoia. The law will not change by itself. It is up to all of us to write to our MPs, or visit them, and give them this simple message:
"change the law or lose my vote!"
