NORML News Summer 2003-4
Normliser CD
The hunt is on for New Zealand's phattest music for NORML's upcoming fundraising CD. Tentatively entitled Normliser, the first album in what could be a series will feature music from Kiwi artists sympathetic to cannabis law reform, including remix and rare tracks from Unity Pacific, Cornerstone Roots, The Managers and Zuvuya.
We're aiming to release the CD in April, in time for the next International J Day, and we're looking for more tracks. If your music is part of the kiwi cannabis culture, please send a demo of your track to: NORML, PO Box 3307 Auckland, or email music @ norml.org.nz
Our deadline is March 2004. We'd love to hear from you.
A/P donations adding up
A big thanks to everyone who responded to our plea for donations. Norml operates on a shoestring, with no paid workers and no offices. We're asking our supporters to set up a regular donation on automatic payment so that we can campaign more effectively. Every bit helps, no matter how small the donation. Our bank account is ASB 12-3057-0594667-00. Please see your bank about setting up a regular donation.
Norml's growing website
Norml.org.nz continues to grow in popularity, with another top 10 in the latest Hitwise ratings for July to September 2003. Our website has many interactive features such as forums, private messaging, alternate themes, posting comments, ranking stories, news links and much more. NORML is also promoting an online competition aimed at encouraging people to write letters and post drug news stories.
