 | NORML News: Norml's funding crisis |
NORML News Summer 2003
NORML has launched an urgent fundraising campaign after having to close our offices in Wellington and Christchurch this year from lack of funds.
Norml is asking supporters to donate small amounts - whatever they can afford - by regular automatic payments.
The NORML executive have been the first to commit, with each contributing $5 per week. Now the challenge goes out to all members and supporters of cannabis law reform to do the same. It all adds up and everyone helps.
Lots of people support what we do, like producing this free magazine, but Norml has no paid staff and no regular budget. Half a million New Zealanders consume cannabis, and our campaign goal is to have just one hundred of you making a $5 weekly A/P by the end of this summer. We could then afford to re-open our Wellington and Christchurch offices and hire part-time staff to run the organisation better. And the more people that donate, the more that we can do.
It's easy for anyone to set up a regular donation at their bank. Just tell them our bank account details (NORML NZ Inc, ASB Bank, 12-3057-0594667-00). We would like the word "Donation" to appear on our bank statement. What appears on your statement is your choice, for example "Donation", "Legal Services" or "Garden Club" etc. Please do it today. We're desperate for help!
